Why is the shoulder examined with a magnetic camera?

The shoulder is the most mobile part of the body and during life can give rise to pain and reduced mobility in the shoulder joint. Most often, this is due to rotator cuff damage, a relatively common ailment in active sports and advancing age. If you have pain in your shoulder, it may also be due to overload. It can lead to inflammation, soft tissue damage, wear and tear (arthritis) or inflammation of the mucous membrane. An MRI of the shoulder is normally a good alternative as an examination method for all complaints.

Preparations

If you have metal splinters, a pacemaker, an insulin pump or other electronic equipment in your body, you cannot be examined with a magnetic camera. Metal that is not magnetic, on the other hand, does not pose an obstacle for magnetic camera examination.

Do I really need to know?

Early detection proves to be the best treatment.
